RTA Riders’ Advisory Committee

RIDE believes in the value of community wisdom. That’s why beginning in 2013, we worked together with everyday transit riders to push for reforms to the Regional Transit Authority’s (RTA) public engagement process.

Our efforts were successful! In 2014, the RTA adopted a policy creating a Transit Riders’ Advisory Committee. Today, 22 riders serve on the committee, providing important feedback, sharing ideas, and supporting the RTA Board of Commissioners to be more responsive to community transportation priorities in their planning and decision-making.
