WORLD CLASS TRANSIT FOR NEW ORLEANS

WORLD CLASS
TRANSIT FOR
NEW ORLEANS

The Problem

Limited access, unreliable service, poor communication, disconnected regional service, and investments that haven’t improved mobility leave too many residents struggling to reach the places they need to go.

The SOlution

Through targeted campaigns, data analysis, strategic initiatives, and community advocacy, RIDE works to advance a more frequent, reliable, and connected transit system. We champion solutions that make transit work better for everyone.

“It is very difficult to stand for 30 minutes waiting for the bus in the hot sun or rain. I ride every day, twice a day, to go to church.”

Building the rider voice

We work directly with riders through our grassroots, rider-led organizing arm, the Coalition for Quality Transit, to strengthen the voice of transit riders.

Driving the conversation

Our reports, white papers, policy briefs, and community forums inform residents and local leaders about challenges to overcome and opportunities to improve our transit network.

Wining Tangible Change

Working with riders, elected leaders, transit officials, and many others, our targeted campaigns win measurable improvements that make it easier and more equitable to take transit.

Donate to our cause

Your support is critical to win the bus, streetcar, and ferry service that our region's riders deserve.
