We’re hiring!

One of our primary goals this year is to develop the region’s first-ever coalition of transit riders.  Some of the most successful transit authorities across the nation are supported and pushed to do better by a well-organized group of transit riders.  There’s power in numbers and we’re thrilled to be hiring a Lead Organizer to oversee this effort.  If you’re passionate about transit, social justice and have experience in community organizing, this opportunity is perfect for you.  Check out the job announcement to learn more and submit your application no later than Friday, January 18th.

Join our Policy Committee

Calling all transportation policy wonks, legal experts, finance specialists, data analysts and urban planners!  Serving on Ride’s Policy Committee is a volunteer role that provides members with an opportunity to shape a progressive transportation agenda.  We ask for a 6-month commitment that will require about 6 to 10 hours a month of your time.  Expand your network by meeting like-minded transportation thinkers and civic leaders.  Work alongside our Executive Director and Board of Directors while you hone your skills.  What are you waiting for? As a rapidly growing organization we need visionary leadership and expertise to continue to thrive.  As a director on our board, you’ll work with our Executive Director and the rest of our active board, to help shape the future of this dynamic and innovative non-profit.  Our Board of Directors oversees sets the strategic vision for Ride New Orleans while supporting the organization to ensure that:

  • The general public and civic and business officials are informed and engaged on transportation issues and best practices;
  • Decision-makers make wise investments in our transportation system that are based on sound research and analysis, best practices and long-term public interest; and
  • Our transportation system is accessible and easy to use.
